Ancient Greek architecture is best known from its temples, lots are found throughout the region, mostly as ruins but many poorly intact. The second important type of building that survives all over Greece is the open-air theatre, with the earliest dating from around 350 BC. Temples were offen built to represent victory when a war was won and a city- state was captured. This was only in the Early Bronze Age, but as time progressed and the Greeks moved into the Classical Period the Greeks changed their reasons to why they built their temples and theatre.
